Fall 2024 Registration is NOW OPEN.

Season will run from the end of
August to the beginning of November.

Please consider volunteering to coach, assist or even help manage a team. BAYS is a volunteer-run organization, and without parents like you stepping up, our children would not be able to play. You can register to volunteer similar to how you registered your child. If you would like more information on volunteering, please email us at [email protected].

Practice Nights

Depending on age, teams practice one or two nights a week at one of the local Parks or Schools. If you have practice requests, include them in the comments section when registering; we try to accommodate these requests, but practice nights are at the coaches' choosing, as they are all volunteers, so we cannot guarantee what nights practices will be.

2024 Fall Soccer

BSC Recreational soccer registration will open on the above dates for all Community League (U5-U7) and County (U8-U18) teams. A few notes for registration:
  • Register early to ensure you get on a team and allow us to prepare for the season $20 discount if registered before July 4 (for U8 & Above). Don't wait!
  • Please put in your buddy requests when you register. ALL buddy/coach requests are considered in the order that they are made. The best way to get the coach or teammates you want is to put it in the buddy/coach request when you register. We will try our best to accommodate your request. However, all requests may not be able to be accommodated. Use LAST NAME of coach only (example: "Brown" NOT "Coach Brown").
  • Uniforms - Please be careful when selecting your uniform size and choice, new uniforms this year so all players will need to order, but the new uniform will be good for two years.
  • If you play in Community League (U5-U7), do not select a uniform. It is included.
  • Uniforms tend to be cut a little small so take that into account when choosing your size.
  • WE ALWAYS NEED COACHES! - We are only as strong as the volunteer we have in the organization. We provide coaching clinics and support throughout the season with trainers. Please sign up early. It helps you get your team early and helps assure every kids gets to play.

*~*~* COMMUNITY SOCCER - For this Fall ONLY - you will be asked to purchase a uniform because all county players have to purchase a new uniforms this year. What we have done is reduced the registration fee to $30 and then when the uniform fee is applied the total is $90 which is the actual cost of the Community Program. The $90 total that you will be paying does include the uniform fee, it is just how the system makes up do this for FALL 2024 only. *~*~*

Travel Soccer

Many parents and players wonder if they are ready for the cost and commitment required to participate in travel soccer at Broadneck Soccer Club.

Tryouts for Travel soccer happen each year in the May/June time frame. Teams are formed via invitation based on evaluation and play year-round in NCSL (National Capital Soccer League), CMSA (Central Maryland Soccer Association) or EDP (Elite Development Program).

Costs will range from $1,000 to $1,500 per year.

Volunteer Check List

Volunteering is a great way to make a positive impact in the community! Not only is it fun, but you get to spend more time outside, meet new people, and help build a strong, positive, safe, and rewarding environment for kids. BAYS is always looking for coaches and other volunteers to keep recreational youth sports thriving. If you are interested, please complete the following:

1. Register on our website as a Head Coach or Assistant Coach.

2. Complete a county background check at:AACO Rec & Parks Background Check(good for 3 years)

3. If you'd like to be a head coach and have not attended the AACO Rec & Parks Coaches Certification Clinic, then you must attend before the season begins. This clinic is FREE and generally runs for two hours, and there is no pre-registration required. Next Clinic: TBD - normally in August.

Volunteered in the past? Check the Active Volunteer Database to see if your background check is still current and when you last attended the coaches certification clinic.

4. Attend a Positive Coaching Alliance Course. This course is also FREE and is normally held at a local library. Next Course: TBD
