2024 Fall Soccer

BSC Recreational soccer registration will open on the above dates for all Community League (U5-U7) and County (U8-U18) teams. A few notes for registration:
  • Register early to ensure you get on a team and allow us to prepare for the season $20 discount if registered before July 4 (for U8 & Above). Don't wait!
  • Please put in your buddy requests when you register. ALL buddy/coach requests are considered in the order that they are made. The best way to get the coach or teammates you want is to put it in the buddy/coach request when you register. We will try our best to accommodate your request. However, all requests may not be able to be accommodated. Use LAST NAME of coach only (example: "Brown" NOT "Coach Brown").
  • Uniforms - Please be careful when selecting your uniform size and choice, new uniforms this year so all players will need to order, but the new uniform will be good for two years.
  • If you play in Community League (U5-U7), do not select a uniform. It is included.
  • Uniforms tend to be cut a little small so take that into account when choosing your size.
  • WE ALWAYS NEED COACHES! - We are only as strong as the volunteer we have in the organization. We provide coaching clinics and support throughout the season with trainers. Please sign up early. It helps you get your team early and helps assure every kids gets to play.

We are looking forward to a great season!

Community League

Welcome to the Broadneck Soccer Club's in-house Community League. Our community league is for our youngest players who are just beginning their soccer journey. It is set in an energy filled, fun packed setting as players start to learn team sport concepts and build their individual skills. Each season will end with "Soccer Fest", a fun-filled day of soccer, treats, and a trophy presentation for the players.

Teams are formed on a first-come-first-assigned basis. Please include All Buddy/Coach requests and Practice Night requests in the appropriate section when registering. You will not be able to edit after the registration is submitted. We will try to honor such requests, but there are no guarantees, as space is limited and coaches choose the practice nights. Once teams are built it is very difficult to move players from one assignment to another.

Teams cannot be assigned until ALL head coaching positions have been filled in a respective division, so please consider signing up to coach.

Please do not request to put younger siblings with the older players. The kids progress each year and the level of training matches their age group. Playing a younger sibling on an older team takes away from the older kids and makes it very difficult on the volunteer coaches.

All questions should be directed to our Community Soccer Director, Dave Bennett, @ [email protected]

Starters (U5) - (born After June 30, 2020 or 2021)

Junior Clinic (U6) - (born in 2019)

Senior Clinic (U7) - (born in 2018)

NOTE: players remain in their respective age division for the fall and spring season (eg, a U5 player will be in Starters for both the fall ’23 and spring ’24 seasons.

GAMES/PRACTICES: All games and practices are held at Magothy River Middle. Practices are one night per week, and the day of the week is at the discretion of the head coach (Note: there are no team practices on Wednesday evenings as this day is reserved for supplemental trainings (see section below for more info). All games are Saturday mornings/early afternoons. Game duration (including warm-up time and half time) is as follows: Starters = 50 mins, Junior Clinic = 55 mins, and Senior Clinic = 60 mins.

SPRING SEASON DATES: Practices begin mid-March with final games the first weekend in June (no rain outs)

FALL SEASON DATES: Practices begin late August with final games the first weekend in November (no rain outs)

COST: $90 includes a uniform (jersey, shorts, and socks) and a BAYS soccer ball (fall season ONLY).  DO NOT request a uniform! You will be charged extra.

SUPPLEMENTAL TRAINING NIGHTS: Professional Soccer Trainers will host a supplemental training night for U6 and U7 players every Wednesday for the duration of the season (exact dates are communicated by the Community Soccer Director prior to the start of each season). We do NOT offer training sessions for U5 players. The goal of these sessions is to provide players with an additional night per week to develop their technique and skills, all in a fun-filled, exciting atmosphere. The trainings take place every Wednesday evening during the season (U6 training slot = 5-6pm, U7 training slot = 6-7pm). Please note a parent/guardian is required to be present for the duration of the training session.

**Shin guards are required for all Community league players. Cleats are recommended but not required.

We always need new volunteer parent-coaches for Starters and Clinic teams. Please consider volunteering to coach, assist or even help manage a team. BAYS is a 100% volunteer-run organization, and without parents like you stepping up, our children would not be able to play. You can register to volunteer similar to how you registered your child. If you'd like more information on volunteering, please email the Community League Coordinator.
