Welcome to the Broadneck Soccer Club's in-house Community League. Our community league is for our youngest players who are just beginning their soccer journey. It is set in an energy filled, fun packed setting as players start to learn team sport concepts and build their individual skills. Each season will end with "Soccer Fest", a fun-filled day of soccer, treats, and a trophy presentation for the players.
There are some changes to the Community League Program for next year following two plus years of feedback from our parents and coaches. These changes are being made to offer a more enjoyable experience for all players and to help foster a love for the sport of soccer.
For the first time ever, there will be a U4 age group for our youngest soccer stars, becoming the new “Starters” division. This will be once a week on Wednesdays, with an approximate start time of 5:00-5:30, and sessions will last 45-50 minutes. Players will begin to learn the very basic fundamentals of the game with some very small sided play (2v2, for example). Players will be organized into groups and move through different fun and fast-paced stations each week. The total program will run approximately eight weeks, and cost will be approximately $50, which will include a t-shirt and soccer ball for the players to keep.
U5-U6 will merge into a single division and will be the new “Junior Clinic”. There will be evaluations at the beginning of the season and then teams will be broken out into two divisions based on skill level. The goal here is to create a better competitive experience for ALL players. Buddy / Coach requests will still be honored.
U7 will remain our “Senior Clinic” offering, but we will split boys / girls beginning this coming fall 2025 season. Requests for players to play on opposite gender teams will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. We have seen a precipitous drop off in girl players in the U7 age group that extends into U8, so we’re hopeful this will help address that problem and create a better playing experience for everyone.

Teams are formed on a first-come-first-assigned basis. Please include All Buddy/Coach requests and Practice Night requests in the appropriate section when registering. You will not be able to edit after the registration is submitted. We will try to honor such requests, but there are no guarantees, as space is limited and coaches choose the practice nights. Once teams are built it is very difficult to move players from one assignment to another.
Teams cannot be assigned until ALL head coaching positions have been filled in a respective division, so please consider signing up to coach.
Please do not request to put younger siblings with the older players. The kids progress each year and the level of training matches their age group. Playing a younger sibling on an older team takes away from the older kids and makes it very difficult on the volunteer coaches.

We always need new volunteer parent-coaches for Starters and Clinic teams. Please consider volunteering to coach, assist or even help manage a team. BAYS is a 100% volunteer-run organization, and without parents like you stepping up, our children would not be able to play. You can register to volunteer similar to how you registered your child. If you'd like more information on volunteering, please email the Community League Coordinator.
