Evaluation Schedule and Information-Boys Lacrosse

Here is the information for Boys evaluations Please make sure you arrive 30 mins prior to your scheduled time to sign in, hand in paperwork, stretch, and gear up.

When: Feb 17th

Where: Broadneck HS Turf field

Time:11-2 (Exact times will be posted soon)

What do you need?

1.Paperwork: Signed Concussion form and Player contract. (please print and bring with you).

2. Your Gear: pads, stick, mouthgaurd, helmet and anything else you may need.

3.Please bring a water bottle. we will be running a lot

4 A Good Attitude and willingness to learn!

    Uniform Information

    NEW for the 2019 spring season. Uniform packages must be ordered directly from our supplier using the following link. These will be used the following year also allowing multi-season use.

    All uniform packages must be purchased separately from the registration process by January 30 using the website link above. Orders cannot be taken after January 30 in order to ensure that uniforms are delivered to coaches prior to the first game. Uniform #'s will be chosen by admin to ensure there are no duplicates. Sizing tends to run a little small. Exchanges cannot be made once purchased. If you are signing up as a Scooper, you do not need to purchase a uniform. You will be receiving a pinnie.

     
    The Programs

    In cooperation with the Anne Arundel County Department of Recreation and Parks, we offer full recreational Lacrosse to boys ages 4½-15 years old. Players are grouped according to ages and skills specified below.

    Evaluations are held in mid-February for players at the Clinic level and above. (There are no evaluations for Scoopers.) Practices begin in March and games are played in April and May. The regular season ends by Memorial Day. Most teams generally play in the pre-season BUCS Tournament at the end of March and post-season tournament after Memorial Day.

    Boys Lacrosse Programs:

    Scoopers: The BAYS SCOOPERS program is for players 4½-7 years old and is designed to teach the basics of Boy's Lacrosse. Our mission is to have fun and to prepare players for the CLINIC level. Participants will learn through quality instruction, demonstrations and short-sided games. The program is held Saturday mornings at Broadneck Park. We begin in early March and run until the weekend before Memorial Day. Through an all-volunteer force we strive to offer a positive lacrosse experience. Players will recieve a BAYS shooting shirt to keep.

    Equipment needed: Helmet, stick, gloves and mouth piece

    Clinic: The BAYS CLINIC program is for players 7-9 years old and is designed to teach the fundamentals of Boy's Lacrosse. Our mission is to teach the basic skills and rules of the game and to prepare players for the PEE WEE level. At all levels, participants will learn through instruction and demonstrations. The emphasis will be on teaching the game, not winning the game! We will promote team play while building self-confidence. Through an all-volunteer force we strive to offer a positive lacrosse experience.

    Equipment needed: Helmet, stick, gloves, arm pads, shoulder pads, cleats, mouthpiece

    Pee Wee: The BAYS PEE WEE program is for players 9-11 years old and is designed to teach the fundamentals of Boy's Lacrosse. Our mission is to teach the basic skills and rules of the game and to prepare players for the MIDGET level. At all levels, participants will learn through instruction and demonstrations. The emphasis will be on teaching the game, not winning the game! We will promote team play while building self-confidence. Through an all-volunteer force we strive to offer a positive lacrosse experience.

    Equipment needed: Helmet, stick, gloves, arm pads, shoulder pads, cleats, mouthpiece

    Midgets: The BAYS MIDGET program is for players 11-13 years old and is designed to teach both the fundamentals and the advanced skills of Men's Lacrosse. Our mission is to prepare players for the JUNIOR level. At all levels, participants will learn through instruction and demonstrations. The emphasis will be on teaching the game, not winning the game! We will promote team play while building self-confidence. Through an all-volunteer force we strive to offer a positive lacrosse experience.

    Equipment needed: Helmet, stick, gloves, arm pads, shoulder pads, cleats,mouthpiece

    Juniors: The BAYS JUNIOR program is for players 13-15 years old and is designed to teach both the fundamentals and the advanced skills of Men's Lacrosse. Our mission is to develop beginners into advanced players and to prepare advanced players for High School. At all levels participants will learn through instruction and demonstrations. The emphasis will be on teaching the game, not winning the game! We will promote team play while building self-confidence. Through an all-volunteer force we strive to offer a positive lacrosse experience.

    CONCUSSION AWARENESS

    BAYS in compliance with Maryland law must provide coaches, players, and parents with information on sports related concussions.
